How we started: our own car

Our 2019 Kia Niro hybrid needed a new electric traction motor, part number 36500-2BDE0. The garage said at least €3,000 for the part alone. New, the list price is about €2,274.

So we looked ourselves. The same part number was on eBay from a Spanish insurer-owned recycler for €478. We bought one with 72,000 km and a six-month warranty from a Portuguese breaker for €850, delivered.

Same part, same number, a third of the quote. Most drivers never see those listings, and most garages do not have time to hunt for them. That is the job we do now.

    The car (plate or VIN), the part, and the price you were given. A photo of the old part's label helps. It takes two minutes and costs nothing.

    Our desk searches breakers, insurer-owned recyclers and parts sellers across Portugal, Spain and the rest of Europe. Within 24 hours you get two to four options side by side.

    It arrives at your garage

    You choose. You pay the seller directly and they invoice you; we charge only our fee. The part goes to your garage with a fit pack: part number, seller, invoice and warranty on one page.

Will my garage fit a part I bring?

Many independent garages will, and many already fit used parts on insurance repairs. Some charge a little more labour or will not warranty the part itself. Ask them before you choose: if yours will not, tell us and we will note it. The fit pack gives them everything they need to check the part before fitting.

What if the part is faulty?

The seller's warranty applies, and we show it on every option before you choose. Our breaker in the founding story gave six months on the part, labour excluded. If something is wrong we take it up with the seller for you. If the part does not fit because we picked the wrong part number, we refund our whole fee.

Who do I pay for the part?

The seller, directly. They invoice you, so the purchase and its guarantee are yours. We act for you and only charge our sourcing fee, which you pay through our checkout.

What if you cannot find it?

No find, no fee. If we cannot beat your quote with the same part number, we tell you and you owe us nothing.

Do you do safety parts?

Airbags, seatbelts, brakes and high-voltage batteries need extra care. We can look, but we check those with you by phone first, before you pay anything.

Which cars?

Any make, but we are best at hybrids and electric cars, where single parts cost thousands new: motors, inverters, chargers, battery modules.
